Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Pune OR Bengaluru - Hybrid-Working: 3 days in office, 2 days from home.

OVERVIEW

Are you passionate about building and scaling modern cloud-native infrastructure to power high-impact products in the fast-moving world of FinTech?

We’re looking for an experienced and versatile DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team responsible for building resilient core infrastructure, ensuring our systems are scalable, secure, and performant whilst managing observability tooling, and automating our workflows.

You’ll play a critical role in enabling product engineering teams to ship reliably at pace, supporting our customer-facing platform and mission-critical third-party integrations, including payment processors, BNPL providers, fraud services, and financial data platforms.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Infrastructure & Platform

• Design, build, and maintain resilient cloud infrastructure across AWS using IaC (Terraform).

• Own and evolve our Kubernetes ecosystem (EKS) and container deployment workflows to support fast and reliable delivery.

• Automate infrastructure and operational workflows, including failover processes, with a focus on zero-downtime for critical services.

Reliability, Security & Operations

• Drive a culture of “You build it, you run it,” promoting shared ownership of availability, SLAs, and incident response.

• Maintain strong security posture across secrets management, IAM, network boundaries, and data protection, participate in compliance activities aligned to regulated FinTech requirements.

• Participate in on-call rotations and production incident response with blameless retrospectives.

• Contribute to operational excellence, long-term architecture decisions, and infrastructure roadmaps.

Deployment & Delivery

• Own and enhance our CI/CD pipelines to enable high-quality, repeatable, and fast deployments.

• Partner with product engineering teams to unblock deployments, mitigate issues, and accelerate new product launches.

ABOUT YOU

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, Infrastructure or Platform engineering teams.

• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, EKS, containerisation, container orchestration, and cluster operations.

• Strong AWS experience across compute, networking, and serverless services (Lambda, EC2, S3, Cloudwatch, API Gateway, WAF).

• Experience in multi-region deployments, with an understanding of latency, failover, data consistency, and cost trade-offs.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.

• Passionate about building resilient systems, reducing operational toil, and fostering a strong DevOps culture across the entire Technology department.

The following experience would be advantageous, but not required:

• Experience working in FinTech, Payments, Banking, or highly regulated industries (PCI-DSS, SOC2, or cloud compliance frameworks).

• Familiarity in managing OU structures, configuring Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and maintaining AD.

• Familiarity with observability stacks and performance monitoring (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).

• Experience administering RDS/Aurora for PostgreSQL and working with tools like AWS DMS, Snowflake, and QuickSight for data operations.

• Experience automating deployments and operational workflows to minimise manual intervention and support zero-downtime releases (e.g., DB upgrades, configuration changes, and traffic shifting).
